Thsi residence in Thurmaston was designed for an eldery couple who moved from a different city and wanted to make this their home.

• The brief was simple: create a space that’s easy to clean and maintain, while adding plenty of character to make it feel cosy and inviting.
• We focused on redesigning the living room and dining area for this project. The traditional fireplace in the living room was to remain untouched, so we highlighted it by adding a rich, dark textured wallpaper around it—turning it into a striking focal point. To enhance the space without overwhelming it, we chose simple artwork for the walls, adding personality in a subtle, tasteful way.
• The dining room presented more of a challenge, as we needed to balance both storage and display. Our solution was a custom built-in unit finished in a soft ivory texture, creating a clean and elegant look. To introduce a bold accent, we added a pop of navy blue with a metal wall art piece at the center, giving the unit the feel of a curated display. Open shelves on either side provided the perfect place to showcase the client’s cherished book collection and meaningful knick-knacks.
